Already used number can we add in WhatsApp API

I have a question, before start WhatsApp API, If i have already one WhatsApp business number, then it is use for WhatsApp API or use number which is separately use for WhatsApp API.

If someone have idea, pls let me know.

You can either use a number on WhatsApp Business App or on WhatsApp Business API.
